An offering which the King gives: roast beef, sunflower and basil crackers with Colby cheese, raspberry pomegranate juice, a chocolate-covered strawberry, apple pie, and a bouquet of sunflowers and white chrysanthemums for Bast of Nekhen Saut-sen Iryt Ra.
The second month of the Inundation has begun! Prayers were spoken on behalf of the people of the temple, and goals were set for the days to come: the pursuit of Bast’s mysteries, the work of forgiveness. Offerings from the shrine were presented to the Akhu — may they live, true of voice. A special offering of apple pie and limeade was given to Wadjet on Her feast day. The wind blows cool and strong, with the first briskness of autumn; the Wandering Goddess will soon depart into the south.
