02/03/2003 Entry: "It's about time...."
Finally broke through my mental block and got the dang Drift off to some prereaders. Does it suck? Not suck? Hopefully I'll know soon.

| Thanks for the vote of confidence. ^_^ First reports sound promising, so my recurring fear that I've secretly been replaced with a talentless hack has been allayed for the moment. I'm now working on the second half of the Drift, actually, and trying to come up with some way to describe a really good steak that is neither pornographic nor making reference to babies. Because either one would be just wrong. Ah, the unique joys of being a writer. (Before anyone gets too worried, I think I've finally gotten the steak to work as steak, so that's all good.)
